Existing box
The electrical box and its support need to be appropriate for the new fixture rather than assumed reusable.
LIGHT FIXTURES
Pendant, vanity light, flush mount, sconce, or another fixture? Send a photo of what is installed now and what you want installed. You should not need to decide electrical scope or provider qualification yourself.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Existing box condition, fixture weight, wiring, grounding, mounting hardware, location, and local requirements can change who should perform the work. Fixology routes that behind the scenes.
ONE REQUEST
The electrical box and its support need to be appropriate for the new fixture rather than assumed reusable.
Heavier fixtures may require different support than the previous light used.
Unexpected or damaged wiring can change the service path and required qualification.
Bathrooms, exterior areas, and other exposed locations can require appropriately rated equipment.
LED fixtures, lamps, drivers, and existing dimmers do not always work well together.
The finished fixture should be secure, aligned, and tested—not simply energized and left.
Fixology can distinguish a straightforward like-for-like replacement from work that requires additional electrical repair, new support, new wiring, or a differently qualified professional. The customer can begin with photos and a short description instead of diagnosing the electrical system.
We do not promise that every light replacement is handyman work, and we do not publish placeholder pricing before scope and qualification are known. Safety, provider eligibility, pricing, and scheduling remain authoritative decisions behind the request.
Have a replacement fixture? Send photos of the existing light and the new one.
